What facial should I begin with?
We recommend starting with whichever level you are comfortable with, however, our Level 3 facial is our most advanced, most popular, and most effective. If you feel comfortable, we recommend jumping straight to it and we will ensure it is customized appropriately to your skin’s needs and tolerability.
How often should I come in for a facial?
This depends on your skin concerns and goals. For best results, we recommend coming in every two weeks until we reach your goal, and then transition into maintenance treatments every 4-6 weeks.
What is LED light therapy?
LED Light therapy is the application of specific wavelengths of light energy to tissue to obtain therapeutic benefits.
In the same way that plants use chlorophyll to convert sunlight into energy, high intensity light emitting diodes (LEDs) utilizing specific, proven wavelengths of light can trigger a natural biostimulatory effect in human tissue. Research has shown that LED light therapy can increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, kill acne bacteria, decrease inflammation, improve skin tone, texture and clarity, decrease under eye wrinkles as well as ease muscle and joint pain, stiffness, spasm, and pain associated with arthritis.
The treatment is non-invasive, painless, requires no recovery time, and can be used safely on all skin types.
What can I expect during a facial?
We begin with a close examination of the skin, discuss your concerns/goals, and we explain how we plan to customize your treatment to achieve the best possible result for you. If you’re new to treatments with us, we will explain each step as we perform them and will make your comfort a top priority. Expect to feel clean, well taken care of, relaxed and recharged.
Will I break out after a facial?
Not often, but it is possible that you could experience a small breakout after a facial. This often occurs with skin that has remained stagnant for a long period of time. A facial is very stimulating and will often encourage the skin to “purge” before it gets better. This is perfectly normal.
Will you speak to me about nutrition during a facial?
Yes. We’ll introduce the idea of incorporating nutrition and lifestyle to achieve your skin care goals. We are strong believers that nutrition and lifestyle play a vital role in skin health and if you’d like to learn more and take your facial results up a level, we’ll teach you how!
How do I know whether I’ll need a microdermabrasion or a peel with my Level 3 Facial?
We’ll take care of this part for you! No need to decide when you book your appointment. Our practitioners will examine your skin prior to each treatment, discuss your goals/concerns, and will recommend the best plan for your skin the day of your appointment.
What is high frequency?
High frequency uses a glass high frequency electrode that is applied to the surface of the skin. A mild electrical current passes through the neon, or argon gas filled glass electrode, causing it to emit a subtle glow and buzzing noise.
During the treatment, enriched oxygen molecules are produced that create an antibacterial action and a "natural" thermal tissue warming. This reaction helps your blood vessels push away toxins, while the cells in your skin are enriched with nutrients and hydrating volume. This in turn creates an increase in blood circulation and cell renewal that supports increased levels of collagen and elastin. The skin is left feeling instantly energized and noticeably softer after just one treatment.

Is there any downtime?
No. You MAY leave your facial a little bit pink from all the stimulation and/or extractions, however this relieves itself within an hour of your facial.
How should I prepare prior to receiving my treatment?
Do not worry about coming in with a clean face! That’s what you’re coming to us for. However:
Please ensure to discontinue any retinol/retinoids 10 days prior to receiving any facial treatments.
Avoid excess sun exposure 48 hours prior.
Are facials safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Yes. We will customize each facial to ensure it is effective, but also 100% safe for you and your baby.
How soon will I notice a difference in my skin?
Each individual responds differently based on their level of skin concerns, genetics, home care, nutrition and lifestyle. Some may see immediate results, and others will take time, patience and consistency.
Is there anything I need to avoid during a facial?
This depends on the level of facial you’ve received and it is best to discuss this with your practitioner, however some of the main things to avoid would be direct sun exposure, touching the face, and using active ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, tea tree, strong AHA’s or BHA’s for 24-48 hours post treatment.
